There are several schemes that can help you with affording an interview outfit plus coaching to help boost your confidence.
SmartWorks
Smart Works Greater Manchester supports women, and those who identify as a woman, on their journey to employment by providing the tools and confidence needed for job interviews and career success. They offer:
Interview Clothing & Coaching (must have confirmed job interview):
- Free, high-quality professional outfit for interview, yours to keep.
- 1-1 coaching with a trained volunteer coach to improve interview techniques, including how to present yourself confidently, highlight your strengths, and answer common interview questions.
Smart Works has centres in Stockport and Manchester City Centre, with virtual appointments available for those who cannot travel.

Working Wardrobe
Working Wardrobe is a Manchester charity providing high quality free to keep interview clothes and training for people who identify as men and/or non-binary. Appointments are provided in Moss Side in Manchester on Mondays. After the personalised styling session each client receives a one-to-one coaching session on increasing your awareness of your strengths, answering questions effectively and what is expected of you at interview.
