Inside Manchester 2026
An excellent opportunity for 2025 graduates and those graduating in 2026 to work on mini projects with Manchester employers.
The Careers Service is offering a limited number of places on its Inside Manchester events day for 2025 graduates and 2026 graduates-to-be.
Inside Manchester will run on Wednesday 8 July and will offer exclusive opportunities to meet with Manchester employers. Working with groups of 5-6 students, you will be set group tasks / projects to help you build practical skills for your CV. You will be supported by an organisation to help solve an industry challenge.
You may be involved in projects similar to the following:

- Healthy homes for all
- Safe and strong communities
- A transport system for a global city region
- A clear line of sight to high-quality jobs
- Everyday support in every neighbourhood
- A great place to do business
- Digitally connected places and people.
As part of the day, attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Gain practical work experience by partaking in a mini-project where you will work in groups on a live issue that is important to the organisation.
- Apply knowledge and ideas to real-world challenges aligned to Greater Manchester’s Strategic Plan and develop solutions, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, research, and commercial awareness.
- Deliver clear, persuasive presentations to employer partners, and demonstrate increased confidence, professionalism, and career readiness through real-world engagement.
- Network with employers and other graduates and graduates-to-be.

Please note that this year we have merged Behind Manchester’s Doors with this programme to provide final-year students and graduates with a longer and more in-depth experience, working alongside peers for partner organisations. As a result, Behind Manchester’s Doors will not run this year.
