UoM Micro Internships (with Practera)
What is the University of Manchester: Micro Internships?
A two-week virtual work-based learning programme delivered in partnership with Practera.
Real clients, real projects, real outcomes
You will be part of a team of 6-7 University of Manchester students, consulting an organisation on a current priority which may be around Growth Strategy, Digital Marketing, AI Strategy, Sustainable Impact – you can specify your preference when you apply.
UoM Micro-internships with Practera are an ideal way to demonstrate having gained work-like experience over the Summer vacation with only 25 hours commitment.
This Summer Programme is open to applications from undergraduates in their 1st, 2nd or penultimate year of study.

Summer Programme programme dates: 16th June - 29th June 2025
*Plus 11th June, 1 hour online orientation workshop, 3pm - 4.15pm
Roles & Expectations
- Attend Orientation sessions (1 - 2 hours)
- Commit 25 hours to the programme (across the 2 weeks)
- Submit 2 project deliverables - draft group report and final report around your business challenge
- Agree to roles & tasks and commit to those assigned to you
- Meet client expectations & deliverables
- Reflect on your professional development along the way
How does it work?
Wednesday 11th June 2025: Attend Online Orientation Session to meet team & Client
Week 1 - 16th June - 22nd June: Submit Draft Report
Week 2 - 23rd June - 29th June: Submit Team 360 and Final Report
