Get advice and support with your CV
It can be difficult to spot your own mistakes and critically evaluate your own work. From basic typos, misused words, poor grammar and cut and paste mistakes, many do make it through to submitted CVs. Frequently we see CVs with entire sections missing like your current degree, or the job you are currently working in. AI can only do so much, ask a person for a second opinion.
Careers support
Our advisers are trained to evaluate your CV from the employers perspective. We can help you evaluate how effectively you have addressed the employer’s requirements, reflect on and articulate your skills and experience, and ensure that your application uses clear, persuasive, and impactful language.
We offer the following 1-1 sessions
- Application and CV review appointments Use these when you have an application tailored for a purpose and nearly ready to send off.
- Drop-in advice sessions Come and ask a quick question or get some initial advice to get started.
- Careers advice and guidance appointments If you are not sure what type of role you should be applying for, if you have the right skills for a particular role or are reconsidering your career options and jobsearch strategy.
Watch out for workshops and events and careers content in the curriculum.
