Monday 4 March

  • Digital Proficiency for Employability (Bite Size) 1.30-1.45pm (Online) Digital Skills can help you find, apply and secure opportunities. This 15 minute bite size session will introduce you to the Skills Pathway on CareerConnect and help you explore your digital strengths and identify gaps in your skills set.
  • Your Future in Digital – How to Futureproof your talent and stand out in an AI driven economy 2-2.50pm (Online) Kicking off Digital Experience Week we have Emma from Manchester Digital to provide a valuable insight into the future of the Tech sector. Emma will explore the results from the latest tech survey in the North West. Which skills and experiences are sought in applicants, and how is AI impacting on talent shortages and skills demanded?

Tuesday 5 March

  • Digital Skills Fair 11am-3pm (Ground Floor, University Place) Come along to meet with Digital Skills training providers and organisations. For students of all years and degree disciplines. There will be a LinkedIn photographer available to take free professional headshots for your profile, so you can start to build your digital careers footprint. A team of Careers staff will also be available for you to drop in and get feedback on your LinkedIn profile.
  • Digital Proficiency for Employability (Bite Size) 2-2.15pm (Online) Digital Skills can help you find, apply and secure opportunities. This 15 minute bite size session will introduce you to the Skills Pathway on CareerConnect and help you explore your digital strengths and identify gaps in your skills set.
  • AI Development and Careers at Microsoft 3:30-4:30pm (University Place Room 4.205) Don't miss this introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) with Microsoft colleagues. They will share their insights and experiences on working in the tech sector, and answer your questions about their roles, projects, and career paths.

Wednesday 6 March

  • Experience an online mock assessment centre 1-3pm (online) This session will give you an insight into assessment centres, what they typically involve and some advice on how to prepare and perform well. For this workshop, we will be working with The Civil Service Fast Stream, a major graduate employer, although this will be relevant for all as a real-world example of a typical assessment centre.
  • Digital Proficiency for Employability (Bite Size) 3.30-3.45pm (Online) Digital Skills can help you find, apply and secure opportunities. This 15 minute bite size session will introduce you to the Skills Pathway on CareerConnect and help you explore your digital strengths and identify gaps in your skills set.

Thursday 7 March

  • Digital Proficiency for Employability (Bite Size) 12.30-12.45pm (Online) Digital Skills can help you find, apply and secure opportunities. This 15 minute bite size session will introduce you to the Skills Pathway on CareerConnect and help you explore your digital strengths and identify gaps in your skills set.
  • Making the most of LinkedIn 1-2pm (The Atrium, University Place) Social media can be a powerful tool to help connect with employers, recruiters, and even access the hidden job market. In this session we look at how to do this effectively, and what you need to consider going forward.
  • Digital Consultancy Experience with Capgemini 2-4pm (Room B2.4, Ellen Wilkinson Building) Experience a digital consultancy task facilitated by colleagues from Capgemini. During this 90 minute session, you will undertake a key task relating to a business scenario, work in small groups and develop valuable graduate attributes such as problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking and presentation skills.

Friday 8 March

  • Digital Proficiency for Employability (Bite Size) 10.30-10.45am (Online) Digital Skills can help you find, apply and secure opportunities. This 15 minute bite size session will introduce you to the Skills Pathway on CareerConnect and help you explore your digital strengths and identify gaps in your skills set.
  • Navigating your career in the digital creative sector 1-2pm (Room 4.204, University Place This workshop delivered by SharpFutures, is designed to strengthen your employability and build your confidence in navigating through the creative digital sector as a young professional.
