Competitions, prizes and awards are a great way for you to gain experience for your CV and often some cash or work experience. Many competitions require you to work in a team / produce innovative ideas / work to a brief / write a report, all great skills to put on your CV even if you don't win!

- SCI Bright SCIdea Challenge Teams of 3/4 develop a plausible scientific concept with a societal benefit. Pitch your idea to compete for a £5000 cash prize. Closing Date: 12 November 2025.

- L'Oreal Brandstorm Competition Annual competition to innovate the next generation of retail. The 2025 winners got a free Adobe account and a 3-month internship in L'Oreal Paris.
- The Foundation for the Rights of Future Generations (FRFG) and the Intergenerational Foundation (IF) Write 5,000-8,000 words in English or German to address the subject of 'Intergenerational Justice'.
