My role within P&G was in the Financial Solutions department and I was part of the Smart Automation team which purpose is to replace human effort in executing repetitive tasks by integrating a multitude of technologies to enable end-to-end automation. The interesting part in my role is that I was able to stretch both my project management and technical skills through the projects that I was assigned to deliver.

I applied on 27th October 2016 and got my placement offer on 13th January 2017.

  • How to build a proper project documentation
  • Global team-working skills
  • Leadership- I was responsible for a global project and I had to lead meetings with people across the world
  • Enhanced my technical capabilities through the new tools I had to learn

Did you enjoy your placement?

I will say that it was one of the best years of my life because I have learned so much and I developed from both a personal and business perspective.

Would you recommend your employer to future students?

P&G is a great place to work due to the high responsibility that you are given from day 1, but also due to the culture. The people are amazing, very supportive and the opportunities for travelling can be a great way to explore new cultures and work in a global environment.

What advice would you give to students who are thinking about applying to the same role/company?

During the interview be yourself, show the passion that you have for technology and give as many examples as possible of situations when you lead a team, encountered difficulties and implemented a change that brought value. Before applying make sure that you understand what are the PVP’s of the company and try to integrate them in your answers.
