In recent decades Dubai has emerged as the dominant business hub in the Middle East, fuelled by oil and trade revenues. It is also the capital of the emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. As well as professional services, finance and information technology are also well presented. Dubai has an ‘Internet City’, and a ‘Media City’, hosting organisations including Associated Press, BBC, CNN, Dell, EMC, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Microsoft, MBC, Oracle Corporation, Reuters, and Sky News.

Previous Global Graduates who have travelled to Dubai have visited Addleshaw Goddard, Clifford Chance, Ernst and Young, IBM, Proctor and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson, and McKinsey. Engineering firms are also represented there.
