  • Sign up to CareerSet/Manchester using your University email address, NOTE your CareerConnect account needs to be using the same University email address. If it is not, you will need to edit this in your CareerConnect profile.

Graduates: Once in the Pathway you will:

Two step process:

1 Get some advice on your CV to get you started.

  • Click on ScoreMyCV and upload your CV in PDF format.
  • Review your CV score and use the feedback to improve it. Aim for a score above 70%.
  • Re-upload your CV to track progress to a higher score

2 Applying for a specific job?

  • Go to TargetMyCV and upload your CV and the job description and receive a personalised feedback report on how to improve.

If you are applying for an academic job your CV will be longer than the standard 2 pages, however, you should still be able to achieve a high score and tailor your CV using CareerSet. Please see further information on writing academic CVs.
