PhD & Researcher Career Zone

The Graduate Recruitment Fair, in partnership with the Vitae North West Hub, will feature a separate area dedicated to PhDs and researchers across the North West.

This will include:

• Your chance to speak directly to a selection of employers of PhDs and researchers, to hear:
  - how they view PhDs and researchers
  - examples of some of the kinds of jobs carried out by PhDs and researchers outside academia
  - the skills which PhDs and researchers can offer to the workplace
  - any current or potential future demand for PhDs and researchers in their organisation
• Careers advice and information from careers consultants with specialist knowledge of the PhD and researcher employment market
• Advice on how to make yourself more attractive to potential employers and some of the opportunities to put this into practice

This is Day 2 of Pathways (Career Options for Researchers programme of events), and is open to all PhDs and researchers across the UK.

In addition, many of the recruiters in the main hall of the Graduate Recruitment Fair welcome applications from PhDs and researchers. Check out the other employers attending the Fair on Wednesday 13 June and also those on 14 June (different exhibitors each day at the Graduate Recruitment Fair).

The main Graduate fair runs on two days, Wednesday 13 June and Thursday 14 June, and there are different employers attending on each day.  The PhD and Researcher Career Zone will only run on Wednesday 13 June.

All the employers mentioned have confirmed that they will attend the event. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there may be some last minute changes.
