As you are interested in volunteering, you may want to consider participating on the Manchester Leadership Programme (MLP). This offers a unique combination of academic units with volunteering to students from all faculties.
MLP students:
- Learn the importance of leadership that promotes social, economic and environmental sustainability
- Gain an insight into some of the key issues facing 21st-century societies
- Develop practical skills such as team working, project management and presentation skills
Students need to show a commitment to volunteering to participate on the MLP. Those who complete the academic units and the volunteering receive the Manchester Leadership Award. Set to become a most prestigious award, it has already received positive feedback from employers and community groups.
