Company Description: Headquartered in Pennsylvania, USA (1hr outside of Philadelphia and 1.5hrs from New York City), Lutron is the world leader (over 11,000 products worldwide) in the lighting control industry. We design, manufacture and sell energy saving lighting controls systems and shading solutions for residential and commercial applications. Lutron is responsible for the invention of the first solid-state dimmer in 1961. This pioneering innovation was created to dim lights in a home and replace bulky rheostats and autotransformers that were inefficient and unattractive. Lutron products control lighting in such esteemed projects as the Bank of China Headquarters (Beijing, China), Hilton Hotels (Worldwide), Pearl Museum at National Bank of Dubai (Dubai, UAE), Legoland (Gunzburg, Germany), Harvard University (Boston, USA), Louis Vuitton Shops (Worldwide) and the White House (Washington, DC, USA).
