Company Description: Broad Oak Primary School is situated in Didsbury in South Manchester.

09.30am - 3.15 PM each day

As part of the children's education the school has converted some of its grounds to help develop eco-projects. Before these can really get off the ground the school needs some volunteers to help the groundwork for the project. This work will consist of:

Renovation and reconstruction of the large pond
Digging over plant beds
Helping to build a shed
Helping to develop the wildlife area

Don't worry if you are not a DIY expert - there will be people on hand to help direct the work.

The school is looking for students that might be interested in coming back after these challenges and working alongside the children in developing eco-projects. If this is something that you are interested please speak to Emma Richardson / Hannah Christie (Volunteering & Community Engagement Team) or Carol McKrell (Schools contact) on the day.

You should make sure that you are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear- warm and WATERPROOF! Remember this is Manchester! If you require any specialist equipment for particular activities this will be provided on the day.

Travel to this challenge will be provided TO the event, but not at the end of the day.For those of you that would like to take the minibus please meet outside the Careers Resource Centre on Booth Street East at 09.00am. Please do not be late.
