Singapore
Singapore is one of Asia’s most highly developed and successful free market economies, with a higher GDP than much of Europe. Multi-national corporations in Singapore include Bosch, Unilever, BMW, Walt Disney Company, Google, Facebook and Hewlett-Packard – the state being the Asian headquarters for these companies. The economy depends highly on exports and in particular, Singapore trades in electronics, computer products and pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical companies that have their regional offices in Singapore include Ferring Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfitzer and Merck & Co.
