University of Kent

Kent is one of the country’s most dynamic universities. Established in 1965, we have over 20,000 students studying at campuses in the picturesque south-east of England and continental-European sites in Brussels, Paris and Athens and Rome. Our reputation for research and academic excellence is confirmed by our success in the most recent Research Excellence Framework: Kent is ranked in the top 20 for research intensity in the Times Higher Education, outperforming 11 of the 24 Russell Group universities. The University is a major educational, economic and cultural force throughout its region with well-established external networks and partnerships around the world. We were awarded gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework*, and we have been shortlisted in two categories of the Times Higher Education Awards 2018: Outstanding Support for Students and Outstanding Research Supervisor of the Year. This shortlisting follows our success in 2017 when we were named the outright student support winner for our acclaimed Student Success Project. We are also are ranked 3rd in the UK for Postgraduate Experience in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2018. *The University of Kent's Statement of Findings can be found at www.kent.ac.uk/tef-statement
